Colby and I are FINALLY in Germany. It was quite the adventure getting here I must say. There were oil leaks and fire engines and cancelled flights and diverted flights and lots and lots and lots of hours spent in terminals. We got here yesterday, went to bed last night at 7 and didn't wake up again until 2:30 this afternoon!
It's so beautiful here though! There's something rather pituresque about cute little German houses nestled in the mist with bright Christmas decorations in the windows. They don't have a lot of lights on the houses, but all their windows have something in them. We're on our way to pick up our Christmas tree tonight, so I'll have to post some pictures of that.

- Brian and I met in the typical BYU cliche: we were in the same FHE group my senior year. However it took a few ups and downs before we finally decided to get married in 2003. For now, Colby (5) is our only kid. Sometimes that's great since he's the center of attention; some days it's not so great since Mom isn't the most ideal playmate! He's been an angel from the start, so we're hoping all of our kids are just like him. I got my degree from BYU in Latin, and telecommute part-time as a Writer and Editor.

- "I don't speak very well. I just speak very well in Spanish."
- We pulled up to the drive-through window at Subway, and Colby got a good look at the guy working the window. He had kind of shaggy hair, just slightly grungy, but nothing scary. Colby apparently thought differently because as soon as the guy went back inside, Colby whispers from the back seat, "Is he a rock star?"
- While playing Mario Kart on the Wii, I guess he wasn't happy with his race position because he kept yelling, "Wait for me, people!"
- But, Mommy, my tummy is not starving. My tummy just wants to watch movies.
- You're the funniest girl in town!
- "Show and Tell is just for boys. Girls don't have toys. They have dolls."
- "My tummy is really full. I think there is a baby boy in there."
- "Mommy, I think I rock."

That is so cool!!! Sorry your trip over was a pain in the butt but you are going to have an awesome Christmas experience. Keep posting about your activities.
