So the other day I was making dinner and Colby decided he needed to help me. It's always nice when he chips in, although this time he announced that he would cut up the vegetables and meat, because, "I do it on Cooking Mama!" After lots of overprotective leading on my part and protests that he could do it himself on his part, we finally got the cutting done.
However before we could continue to the next step, Colby stops and says, "Mommy, you just be the girl chef and I'm Linguine (from Ratatouille)." Fine. I can go along with that, so I spout off a couple of lines about keeping your sleeves clean. Apparently that just doesn't do it, so we had to stop all dinner preparation and make chef hats for both of us. Then we finished making dinner. I really love his imagination!

Colby is always making me laugh! I have never seen a kid with such an amazing imagination! We miss him at the Terry house. Give him kisses for us!
That is so neat! Jael has been helping out more in the kitchen as well and it's scary when they start wielding those knives. But it's nice to have them learning new skills. And it won't be long and they won't need us looking over their shoulders to make sure they don't cut off their fingers. :)
SOOO CUTE! i can't believe he's so big. i don't think i've seen him since he was about 4!
